During this busy season, it can be easy to lose ourselves in the noise and the chaos of everything we have to do and need to remember to do.

But instead of getting lost in the internal chatter, take some time to ground yourself in the present, in the here and now, so you can truly enjoy the “most wonderful time of the year.”

You have say in where you put your listening. You’re either listening to internal thoughts and mental chatter or the sounds of the season going on around you. Choose to put your attention on the here and now. Pull yourself out of your normal, that internal chatter, and disrupt the moment by bringing awareness and attention to what’s going on here and now. Be present to life happening around you.

With this 15-minute meditation, give yourself the gift of presence. Bring your attention back to your body and the physical space around you. Stop drifting and being battered around by the waves of your internal monologue, and focus your energy on being right where you are.
