Coaching Transformed Nadine’s Body, And More

For Nadine Khawaja, her fitness journey began with weight loss. The member of 24 Hour Fitness Kirkman Super-Sport in Orlando, Florida says, “I lost 100 pounds over the past year,” adding that she has always struggled with it. Part of that struggle, she explains, was due to feeling lost at the gym, which in turn made her prone to giving up. “I always felt discouraged seeing everyone around me at the gym knowing exactly what they are doing.”

In July, 2020, Khawaja decided to join 24 Hour Fitness to start toning and shaping, and to gain muscle. This time, she sought the help of experts and began working with fitness coaches John and Allison. Khawaja is thrilled to have reached her goals, but even more, she says, she now feels confident working out on her own. “I have gained knowledge about my own body and how it works,” she says. “With the help and guidance of John and Allison, I am still on my journey of learning more and more.”

Here’s what Khawaja has to say about how asking for help transformed not only her fitness goals, but her outlook on life.

On success

The definition of success has changed for me since I started my journey. Success to me was to achieve a goal in a long-term setting, however, success to me is now a daily strive to take each day one step at a time. Every day is a new journey, and each day has a new goal that I must achieve to create a better and more successful tomorrow.

On seeking assistance

I chose to seek an expert for my journey for them to pass on their knowledge, experience and motivation. I was afraid to go at it alone with my little experience, to which I am sure most would relate. My trainers John and Allison have given me the support and inspiration to be greater than I have ever imagined.

My success has made me more and more confident in myself and encouraged me to always challenge myself to do better, be better, and think better.

On staying the course

If I ever have a bad day or week, my trainer Allison always helps me get back on track; she inspires me to be the best version of me. She always says, “Nadine, you got this, just remember mind over matter,” and now that phrase is what I think of anytime I am encountering a hard task.

Results not typical and may vary per individual. With a regular diet and exercise routine, typical weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. Please consult a physician before starting or changing a fitness routine. Personal training and virtual personal training available to 24 Hour Fitness members for an additional fee.
