Cassey Ho, the creator of Blogilates, is a fitness sensation whose YouTube workouts have been viewed over 200 million times – and now she’s blazing a new trail in the world of Pilates, with pop music. POP Pilates is a fun, intense and fluid workout for all levels and fitness abilities that’s debuting this month at 24 Hour Fitness.

Ho shared a Stretch Challenge in the September/October issue of 24Life™ magazine (available free of charge from the App Store and Google Play). We also asked Ho to tell us more about what fuels her to inspire millions around the world, starting with the obvious question: her passion!

24Life: What are you most passionate about?

Cassey Ho (CH): I’m most passionate about constant growth in myself and in others. Whether that’s in business, in knowledge, in exercise, or whatever – I never want to stop learning! It’s all about being better and stronger than who I was yesterday.

24Life: Where do you find inspiration for new trends in health and fitness?

CH: I find inspiration from my fans and my students. I always have! That’s why Blogilates has grown to what it has become today. By listening to them and observing carefully what they want, I am able to design brand new moves and routines that will keep them excited and challenged.

24Life: How do you stay connected with the participants of your programs?

CH: Social media plays a huge role in how I stay in touch with my fans, my POPsters. I am constantly chatting with them on Twitter, checking in on their form on Instagram, and getting personal with them on Snapchat. It is very important for me to always be there for them. Also, live meet-ups and classes play a big role in keeping the community alive and excited. There’s nothing that can replace human touch and sharing sweat, laughter, and friendship in real life.

24Life: How do you relax or regenerate?

CH: Massages! I like them very hard and intense. The pain is oddly satisfying.

24Life: You have only 24 minutes to work out today—what do you do?

CH: Bodyweight tabata routine which interchanges between muscle strengthening Pilates exercises and heart-pumping HIIT moves.

24Life: What is your “got to get moving song”?

CH: Right now it is “Talking Body” by Tove Lo.

24Life: How do you stay fit on the road?

CH: I love going for a run in a new city I’m visiting. It serves two purposes: exercise and a free tour.

24Life: What reading is on your bedside table?

CH: #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso.

24Life: What is in your 24? Describe a typical day in your life.

CH: Each day is so different for me! There is nothing really “typical” but here’s in general what I do:Wake up around 7:45 a.m., check Twitter and Instagram in bed, brush teeth. Then get dressed and go to the gym. After my workout, I go home and make breakfast which is usually an egg white omelet with veggies and turkey. Then I freshen up for work. If it’s a filming day, I get ready to teach a few workouts for my YouTube channel. Between meetings, phone calls, and emails, we need to take Instagram photos and create “mini content” for all of my social media outlets. I also do the graphic design and product design for our merchandise line, so often you’ll find me on Adobe Illustrator for hours at a time.

Obviously lunch happens somewhere in between all that – usually it is a salad with chicken, avocado, and whatever veggies are around that day. Then more work, maybe it’s editing, maybe it’s writing up choreography for the next POP Pilates routine, maybe it’s blogging or writing newsletters…Eventually dinner time rolls around and that’s usually some sort of lean meat and veggie plate. I also snack on Quest bars and smoothies throughout the day to keep my energy up. I basically keep working until the wee hours of the morning, then head off to bed around 2 a.m. I’m trying to be better though!! I want to go to sleep before 11:30 p.m. every night!

24Life: Your advice to the world in one sentence?

CH: Live passionately and do what you love, because if you’re not, you’re wasting your time.
